PRODUCTION OF ENCAUSTIC TILES, MOROCCAN TILES
Our handmade Encaustic tiles, Moroccan tiles are all produced in the same way as they used to be decades ago. Every single Encaustic tile, Moroccan tile is unique that adds charm to this lovely interior product. Please have a look at what steps are needed to be taken to produce an Encaustic tile, Moroccan tile.
The first step is to use one of the metal grilles and insert it into a mould. Secondly a mixture of colour pigments, cement and marble powder is added in each section of this metal grill to create colourful patterns. In step three the metal grill is then removed and a layer of dry cement is applied to absorb some of the moisture. While carrying out step four a final layer of wet cement is then added to serve as a back side of the Encaustic tile, Moroccan tile. In step five a metal lid is placed on the cement and the mould is based inside a hydraulic press that compresses all three layers. Finally the Encaustic tile, Moroccan tile is removed from the mould and left to dry for some weeks.
After the production time-frame your handmade Encaustic tiles, Moroccan tiles are ready for shipment and distribution in the UK.
